For all practical reasons the Panel may wish to send a note via the Icann At
Large announce list to all 800+ members, soliciting for a 90 day panel
extension, on the understanding that all duly assigned tasks will be
completed as early as possible within that extension period and certainly no
later than 90 days beyond the current date. If less than a majority respond
negatively, the Panel could then reasonably assume they have the necessary
mandate to continue, rather than be forced to rush something through under
the gun. Of course we all wish things were progressing rapidly and in a more
advanced stage, but since they are not, a remedy needs to be agreed as soon
as possible.
