RE: [atlarge-discuss] Point of personal privilege -- I'm beingdisenfranchised by glitches in the system!

Judyth,
In order to vote in this election you had to join the organization by
registering on the website http://www.icannatlarge.com. Unfortunately, if
you haven't already done so, it is now too late for this vote.

FYI, although ICANN originally allowed individuals to register and vote in
the elections of 2000, they then froze registration and refused to release
the existing membership roster. Instead, they abandoned the concept of
membership altogether, and next month, when the term of the current At Large
Directors elected in 2000 is up, they do not plan to replace them, neither
to hold any more direct elections, or allow membership of individuals in any
shape or form.

ICANNAtLarge.com has been set up by those of us who object to that plan, the
"Lynn Plan" - hence we are independent of ICANN and have no access to the
original membership roster.

Sorry that I can't be more helpful, but do please join and then you will be
eligible to vote on other issues as they come up. This is not going to be
the last vote.

Regards,
Joanna
