We broke away from ICANN and began self-organizing specifically because we
refused to accept ICANN disenfranchisement.  Doing so was not "comfortable"
for many of us, but the alternative would have been capitulation leading to
marginalization of the At Large.  The ALAC report only underscores how right
a decision that was!
