Who said nomination needn't be seconded? The message that went out
requesting nominations clearly said otherwise, to wit:

3. Persons nominated by more than one person will be considered to be
seconded. Those nominated only once will be identified on the At Large
Discuss list, and readers of the Discuss list will be given the opportunity
to second their nomination.
Dear Polling Committee Members,

This is a report on the present status of the responses of Nominees.

1. difficulties created by icannatlarge.com

- "nominated not seconded". This results from an ambiguous response of mine due to a different voting culture. The above "3." says that persons nominated twice or more are considered as nominated. This is the case of all the persons I nominated, after a first wide nomination. In addition, Joop Teernstra seconded some of them, and nominated two others I seconded.

- Joop Teernstra claims that he has organized its own collection of nominations and just released a list of names he hide from us until now. We have no way to know when these Members have been nominated and by who. Most probably some legitimately believe they have been nominated before the limit. We all are conscious this is an usual destablization action from Joop, but I propose the Members do not suffer from it (and voters may decide if Joop's attitude is right or wrong). I vote that:

- we take the list and accept Joop's nomination of these Members (if they are Members)
- we second them to make them legitimate nominees
- I send them the letter to the nominees and we give them an extra day

Please urgently vote on this: one positive vote from any of you is enough. Otherwise we will go by the published rules.
