That being said, I should add that in popular speech here in Canada the
complete saying is "Calling a spade a spade, and a key a key" and is
(usually) intended to convey the logical Law of Self Identity (i.e. that
A is A). One calls something what it is.
Again, my sincerest apologies if anyone was offended.
