Just because someone volunteers to sit on a committee does not mean the Panel must 
appoint that person to it.  I would hope that the Panel chooses carefully those that will 
support the common good of the organization rather than constantly disrupting it.

Thank you, Abel, for recognizing the error and correcting it.  It would be a
serious mistake to permit panel appointments to be subjected to personality
judgments as happened with the Provisional Membership Committee.
