EUROPE: Germany leads in e-marketing

Germany is ahead of other large European countries in the weight it 
ascribes to the internet as a marketing device for business, 
according to a survey of nearly 1,500 executives, drawn from some of 
the continent's biggest manufacturing and services companies.  

The survey, published today, also underlines the rapid strides the 
internet is making as an information tool for companies. More than 
one in 10 of the managers said they use it as their main source of 
information on business issues, ahead of newspapers and TV.
