Canadians Announce Value-Accounting Framework

HAMILTON, ONTARIO -- A Canadian industry group is proposing a
framework for accountants and their clients to manage
what previously went unmeasured in business. The Canadian Institute
of Chartered Accountants has applied for an American
patent on a process it has devised to measure the value of a company,
said William Swirsky, vice president of the Toronto-based
association, last week at the Congress of Electronic Management
sponsored by McMaster University here.
