'Kiss portals goodbye' as new Web rules aim to preserve state secrets

BEIJING, Jan 26 (Reuters) - China plans to impose new controls on the
Internet to prevent Web sites from "leaking state secrets" in a move
that might prompt overseas investors in the country's technology
sector to reassess their plans. The new rules, published in the state-
controlled People's Daily newspaper, said sites would be required to
