Subject: MPAA Requests Press and Net Ban
To: CYBERIA-L@LISTSERV.AOL.COM

Proskauer Rose for MPAA has requested a protective order
in MPAA v. 2600 in the SDNY to ban the press from deposition
takings and posting of the depositions on the Internet. Frankfurt
Garbus for 2600 has argued against both bans. Judge Kaplan has ordered
submissions from plaintiffs, defendants and interested press by June 2
for a hearing on June 6. Letters of argument and the order:

Judge Kaplan says the New York Observer and the Village Voice
have asked to attend the depositions and that others may apply.
