huch? wie kommt es dann zu der aussage in dem untenstehendem Artikel?
ist das aufklärbar? Mich verwundert das ein bisschen, declan
mccullagh habe ich bisher für seriös genug gehalten.

vielleicht kann John Young mal kurz was auf Cypherpunks schrieben?
(da hatte er bisher auch gesagt, was sache ist)

Attack on Spy Activist's Site

A website that distributed secret documents from U.S. and Japanese
intelligence agencies apparently is under siege in a denial-of-service
attack.

The publisher of cryptome.org, which houses a massive archive of files
related to spy agencies, recently started publishing a series of classified
CIA documents and personnel files related to Japan's Public Security
Investigation Agency.

That resulted in a deluge of traffic to the site, which slowed the Web
server, housed on a Verio network.

But what brought the struggling machine to its knees was what cryptome.org
publisher John Young says is a denial-of-service attack.
