Workshop "Self-regulation of Internet content: Filter systems"

Objectives
-- Mobilizing "socially relevant" third parties to contribute
   to an international filtering architecture
-- Develop filter templates ("profiles")
-- Develop positive and negative lists
-- Ensure voluntary nature of filtering on the Internet
-- Implement new culture of responsibility

In particular, the aims of the workshop are
-- to provide a general introduction to Internet content
   filtering systems,
-- to facilitate the creation of filtering templates for
   socially relevant groups,
-- to create a network of contact persons in the relevant
   organizations that will improve the expertise on Internet
   filtering systems especially in those organizations
   from outside the "Internet world".

Die Teilnehmerliste liegt -- sehr originell -- als Word-DOC
vor, u.a. sehe ich Vertreter der Kirche, Kinderschutzgruppen,
Rundfunk, Regierungsoffizielle aus vielen Ländern, eine
Tauss-Referentin, Wissenschaftler, einen vom London
Internet Exchange LINX (?!), alles sehr international.
Kein allgemeiner Zugang.
