Weit interessanter scheinen mir allerdings die angedachten
technischen Änderungen:

Achtung! Obige Infos stammen aus dem Leserforum bei Heise.de. Leider
sind sie nur schwer zu überprüfen, da es sich bei Webnoize.com um
einen kommerziellen Informationsanbieter handelt. Freier Zugang zu
diesem Artikel ist leider nicht möglich. Passend in diesem Kontext ist
allerdings ein Artikel bei Wired.com vom Samstag:

Letztendlich läuft es also wohl auf ein proprietaeres Format hinaus.
Ob es eine ausreichende Akzeptanz bei Industrie und Usern erreichen
kann wird sich zeigen.
