IE6 implementiert den compact-policy teil der P3P
Specification[1]. Dieses kompakte Datenschutzvokabular wird nur
für cookies verwendet. Der user kann seine Präferenzen setzen und
wenn die P3P-Privacy Policy der site schlechter ist als seine
Präferenzen, dann wird der cookie der site geblockt.

Dass Microsoft nun via P3P jemand zu MSN umleiten kann, glaube
ich nicht, denn alles basiert auf einem offenen Standard 
(http://www.w3.org/P3P/) Die Recommendation sieht eine Umleitung
aber gerade nicht vor.

Darüber hinaus sind die Präferenzen und das Verhalten von IE
offen gelegt[2]. 

Bisher arbeiten beide traut in meiner WG zusammen. Ich halte das
für einen Hoax.

Allerdings wird hier sehr schön gezeigt, dass Transparenz der
Sammelpraxis durch P3P im Online-Umfeld Auswirkungen haben kann. 

Hier ist allerdings erst ein kleiner Teil von P3P implementiert.
Wenn es vollständige Implementierungen in Browsern gibt, hoffe
ich, dass es wirklich zu einer Verbesserung des Datenschutzes im
Netz durch Konkurrenzdruck gibt.

Das Unabhängige Landeszentrum für Datenschutz in SH ist ja auch
an der Entwicklung von P3P beteiligt.
