Tackling harmful content on the Internet (E-PING!)

The European Parliamentarians' Internet Group is holding a meeting from 6.30
- 8.00 p.m. on 10 October 2001 in Room 1E1, European Parliament, Brussels.

Speakers:

"European Commission initiatives in the field of child pornography" 
Luigi Soreca (DG Justice and Home Affairs, European Commission), 
Richard Swetenham (DG Information Society, European Commission); 

"Child protection on the Internet", 
Ann Davison - Economic and Social Committee Rapporteur on a programme for
child protection on the Internet;

"How can content rating protect against harmful content?",  
Ola-Kristian Hoff - Internet Content Rating Association Director, Europe;

"How should children be protected online?", 
Nigel Williams - Childnet International.

Following the presentations, there will be an open discussion of the issues
raised by the speakers. 

Attendees wishing to attend but who do not have an access card for the
Parliament are requested to send an e-mail to secretariat@eping.org
