New Spanish PM wants Iraq pull-out

Spain's general election winner, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, 
has said he intends to withdraw all 1300 troops from Iraq.

The new prime minister-elect told a Spanish radio station on 
Monday that, although no decision would be taken until he was in 
power or without wide political consultation, it was almost a 
certainty.

"The Spanish troops in Iraq will come home," he added in his 
first post-election interview with Cadena SER radio.

"The war in Iraq was a disaster, the occupation of Iraq is a 
disaster."
