Microsoft Calls For UK Internet
Tax Breaks

LONDON - U.S. computer giant Microsoft
will demand this week that the British
government reduce Value Added Tax on
goods bought over the Internet and
introduce tax breaks for buyers of personal
computers, the Times reported in its
Monday edition.
Microsoft would also attack the government's
forthcominge-commerce bill as being inflexible and
inconsistent with the existing online business
models, the newspaper said.
