Intel Introduces New Security Measures for E-Content

Pirates attempting to copy or corrupt electronic content on its way
to consumers are about to come up against a very big cop: Intel. The
chipmaker said Tuesday that its new Software Integrity System assures
"persistent content protection...from the time content is requested
by users until it is rendered on PCs or loaded on dedicated media
players such as portable music players or e-book readers." Intel said
its new software is intended for developers of electronic
distribution systems for content such as MP3 music files.
