RE: [atlarge-discuss] bylaws

I may be no lawyer, but I spent 24 years working in a government bureaucracy
where I learned the craft of using words to lock down intent.  So while I
agree that lawyers need a hand in the processes, to keep out the legal gaffs
and loopholes, we also need others who can question phraseology, to insure
the intent of the words used is the intent we arrived at throught concensus.

With the greatest respect, this is not a time for amateurs.
The At Large need lawyers who do this stuff all day every day.
I suggest we call for signed up members with the necessary qualifications to
step up to the plate. Unfortunately, I am not one of them.
