1. Next Steps
Both the nomination period and the acceptance period are closed.
The candidates now have the opportunity to send
candidate statements (up to 350 words) to the webmaster
<terastra@terabytz.co.nz> who will put the statements up at
http://icannatlarge.com/candidatespage.htm
(Please keep in mind that the webmaster is located in New
Zealand and is a human being -- your statement will be processed
as soon as possible if you send it as soon as possible!)
In addition, candidates and voters are invited to debate
in the web forums at icannatlarge.com and this mailing list.
Voting happens between Sunday, July 28 and Saturday, August 4.
Members will then receive ballots by e-mail.

3. Seconds
The Election Rules mention seconds, but do not prescribe
seconds as necessary condition for becoming a candidate.
Accordingly, all valid nominees become candidates.
4. Invalid nomination/second
In one case, there has been a nomination to the mailing list
using a name which is obviously not real (and not on the list
of icannatlarge.com members either).
The nominator had been offered to provide his or her real name
and identification to watchdog Bret Fausett.
5. Single self-nominations
There is no mechanism for self-nomination in the Election Rules;
according to the rules, members nominate "other members".
There have been two single self-nominations (i.e. self-nominations
without a valid second which could be interpreted as nomination).
http://icannatlarge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=217)
Accordingly, these persons have failed to become nominated.
