[atlarge-discuss] website/permanant solution

University of California, San Diego has just produced a class of new
computer
science graduates. A few of which our firm planned to hire to work with
us.
Our current economy and sliding stock market and our recent hiring of 30
in
Vietnam has made those plans delayed. Intel was scheduled to hire a few
that I
know but instead just laid off thousands.

Last night we discussed the possibility of some of them doing the web
master
work as they wait for full time employment. If this would meet with
group
approval, I would take it to the next level. We would write a couple of
page
business plan, contract with my firm to donate equipment and space in
order to
assure continuity, connect and include a professor from UCSD, and submit
the
plan for grants as we moved forward.
We would reverse integrate it into a University project.

This I think would be a workable solution. It would lend a legitimacy
and
appropriate inclusion of a young people base of one of the most
globally,
culturally and geographically diverse student bases in the world.

It is only a suggestion and it need go no further. However I must say I
will
put these young geniuses to work in one way or another as us older
people
straighten out our economy and find them gainful employment.

My condolences to all without work in this upsetting global economy.

Sincerely,
Eric
