The voters have spoken, and the Panel members are who they are.  But we
should certianly make a special effort to ensure Latin America and Africa
are well represented in our committees.  This is where most of the work will
be going on anyway!

I noted during the election that some of the nominations from your part of
the world were late to be nominated in some cases, and some of them failed
to post candidate statements if I recall correctly.  This culd be a large
part of the reason they were not elected.  I'm hoping that by next year we
can start our nominations well in advance of the vote, and have processes to
translate our documents and statements into multiple languages.
