Re: [atlarge-discuss] RE: [atlarge-panel] FW: [ga] icannatlarge.com

Joanna and all stakeholders or other interested parties and members,

I would also strongly suggest that whichever new name is determined
that it be regisered as TM as and "IC" mark as soon as possible. Of
course this would require that we have the necessary funding to
do so. Presently as far as I know, we do not have that funding.

As I and a few other members pointed out some weeks ago when the
debate as to a new name was more intense I suggested that the
term(s) "Atlarge" or "At-Large" should be avoided. The USPTO
has a mark listed as live for "At-large" as an ITU mark. See:
http://tess.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=comh3p.7.1

We as a body, need to also decide what the nature of our relationship
with ICANN is or should be. The content of any new DN website
name will be dependent upon such a decision.
