Re: [atlarge-discuss] FYI: ICANN WILL KEEP ELECTED BOARDS MEMBER, FOR NOW

This is no more than a sop to placate critical voices, unless the principle
of democratic representation is perpetuated.

Just to keep people on for a few months, but to say the principle is (quote)
"off the table", is a device to stave off criticism in the short term, to
give them time to set up their new structures, which will then "lock out"
the elected Board members.

The REAL At Large movement of ordinary users will continue to mobilise
independently of Icann and demand proper democratic representation for
ordinary users on the Board of Icann and in the administration and
governance of the Internet. The Internet belongs to ALL the world, not just
to a FEW insiders and vested interests.
