Hi Holger,

When we bombed Dresden in the Second World War, was that a military target
or a civilian target?
Would people in Germany regard the bombing of Dresden as a military act or a
terrorist act?
Was the purpose of the bombing to terrorise and demoralise the civilian
population?
Did the ordinary families in the conflagration regard themselves as
legitimate military targets?

If civilians in Iraq find themselves under attack, will they regard
themselves as legitimate military targets?
