So what? It's not like there's no value for your money in it... you end 
up with a digital cert! The fact that some people champion the idea that 
all you need is an email address to be part of this organization is 
indicative of a serious organizational legitimacy flaw.

All we need to do is take the Internet Society as our model.  After all, 
it takes quite a bit more than simply an email address to join ISOC...   
How inclusive is ISOC?  Yet, they are a recognized participant in the 
ICANN atlarge sham....  Why?  It's simple, they have real members!  They 
can vouchsafe the existence of their membership!  We cannot, and we 
think that ICANN or anyone else is going to seriously consider our 
ragtag eforts without a means of identity verification being instituted? 
Think again.

Wake up, folks!
