Or do you mean to proceed with an election among us?

An election campaign is needed if only in order to make all the candidates 
a little more transparent.
The members have a "right to question".

I will agree with you if
1. an election proceeds, but there is a liberal campaign period
2. the bootstrappers' mandate  would be just to organize the election of a 
Polling Commission, nothing else.

Then the Polling Commission can prepare for proper election procedures that 
will guarantee us to get at least the time to question our candidates for 
office.

Frankly the more I see how laborious this is and how vulnerable to capture 
even such safeguards are, the more I can see the vision of Richard 
Henderson to sidestep all this and just keep on polling and publishing. As 
long as there is transparency.
