Re: [atlarge-discuss] ELECTION REPORT

The questioning of monitoring is valuable, Jeff, and I think Joop would
approve too. We should be positive about doing anything which will add to
the status and credibility of this vital Polling Process. So, just as there
are calls for an electoral commission, so there is also a strong case for a
Polling committee or commission.

The priority after this election process should be to formalise and
authorise the constituional role of the Polling process, as the means of
giving the membership complete authority over the actions and decisions of
this organisation (including those done in our name by elected panelists).

An appropriate monitoring body would be a valuable and necessary element in
this constitution.
