Dear Joop:

I never said that "constructive criticism in the interest of members'
nomination rights is self serving".  I have no idea where you got those
words from.

What I said, and meant, and believe, is   a) that Sotiris' shrill defamation
of any candidate that does not meet his prescribed standards, and   b) his
appalling tirade against Jefsey and Bruce, are designed to   a) limit the
votes for anyone that may have ideas that compete with his, after he is
elected and   b) to place himself in a position to declare their election
valueless if and when it happens.  Both of those actions have been repeated
with escalating intensity to the point that I doubt that at this point
anyone now sees them as anything other than the nastiest form of propaganda.
(Its called negative campaigning in American politics and really doesn't
belong here.

His tirade is baseless.  I know that anyone can find fault with anything
virtual, if they want to.  It has been happening on this list for a year,
and look at the disastrous results... but Sotiris has made it into an art
form.  Black art.

As an example:  In his last post Jefsey wrote:
"Yeah right!  You didn't release anything to anyone and I certainly don't
trust Abel Wisman any more than I trust you.  I suspect he's in on the
sham with you, along with Ron Sherwood and Hugh Blair to name a couple.
They are the same "good souls" who were loudest in rejecting Joop's
Polling Booth... and in favor of what exactly?  The Jefsey Fraud
Non-Process?!?!?  You don't hear a peep out the hypocrites now though do
you?!"

Anyone who has not realized that Sotiris is just blowing in the wind would
think that Abel Wisman, Ron Sherwood (me), Hugh Blair and others were
participants in a conspiratorial "fraud" and that Sotiris had some sort of
evidence to support this claim.  They would also believe that this group of
people were "loudest in rejecting Joop's Polling Booth".

The truth is that I  have (to the best of my knowledge) never met, or even
communicated directly, with most of the parties that I am purported to be in
cahoots with. In fact It is only recently that I communicated directly with
Jefsey. It was just before the election ballots were to be sent out and
Jefsey was concerned that his English was not good enough to write the
questions for the ballot legibly.  He thought I was American and asked me if
I would send him editorial comments on the list of questions.  I did send
him my comments and suggestions, including the fact that it was difficult
for me to understand the way some of the questions were written because of
the different meanings of some words in different languages. I did not
change anything in his text, for I did not consider that it was my place to
do so.  When I saw the ballot I found that some minor changes had been made
but that the ballot was still not what most of us would have liked it to be.
I am sure that the time constraint has a lot to do with the situation, but
the ballot paper was far better than nothing at all and I am sure the ballot
returns will have some interesting results which could be valuable to the
new Panel.

That one time exchange of emails on that particular subject is the only time
that I have had anything to do with the election, and I assure you nothing
was mentioned in either email that was related in any way with Sotiris
declaration of the four of us conspiring to commit fraud. There was nothing
mentioned that could have anything to do with defrauding anyone or anything
to do with Joop's Polling booth.  As a matter of fact, I love Joop's Polling
Booth, and would like to see it used frequently.  So you see the words that
Sotiris spews are nothing but venomous attempts to defame people.  It seems
that he has no other way of expressing himself.  This alone saddens me,
because prior to his outbursts he was at the top of my list of candidates to
elect.  I am glad that he has shown his true colors.

Sotiris also wrote:

He is wrong, of course.  He is the pre-eminent hypocrite and is screaming
very loudly indeed. Now why do you think that is?  Propaganda perhaps?
