Everyone:

I have published Report04, a post election report, portraying the election 
results in the context of the pre-election verification & certification 
results.

I believe it also puts the historical efforts as well as the current 
verification efforts in a broader context.

The only authority the ad hoc committee on verification and certification 
had was that of moral persuasion. As was their right, some candidates were 
persuaded, responsive and forthcoming, and some apparently were not. Those 
that were not responsive were never in touch with the V&CC.

Martha Gottlieb, Jeff Holt and I can only hope that our effort was 
worthwhile to many of our members. It is likely we will never know its 
benefit. It was worth doing nevertheless, and we are proud of this 
first-ever verification attempt.

We extend our thanks to all of you for your acceptance.
