I fully support Abel's comments.

The verification committee has not been formally established by the Panel.  
It has no authorized chair.  It has no approved terms-of-reference, and it 
certainly doesn't have the authority to declare that elected Panelists will 
forfeit their seat on the Panel if they don't respond to the committee within a 
matter of days.  There is a clear distinction to be made between bottom-up 
activities and anarchy.

If this is the caliber of the decision-making on this committee, and if such 
decisions are endorsed by Joey Borda, then I petition Abel to remove his name 
from motion #2003-1 as he is not suited to chair this committee.
