Sotiris ok I've installed all the software, and now am reading the 'read me' file to see how this thing works
Sotiris So, I will require the following information:
Sotiris SHOUTcast server IP address (of the form 192.168.1.100 or shoutcast-server.domain.com)
Sotiris SHOUTcast server IP address (usually 8000)
Sotiris SHOUTcast server broadcast password (the "Password" config item on the server's config file)
abel <irc://irc.icannatlarge.org/abel,isnick> hmm i can set it up to be shoutcast.icannatlarge.org, that is no problem, just ahve to pick a free ip, but i want to read if i can use shoutcast for input to the DarwinStreamServer that is running (in which case i need the pass from the guys using it :) ) or if i have to setup a seperate shoutcast server

Sotiris OK. As for the speed we want to broadcast at... i'm not sure what we're dealing with here as far as bandwidth is concerned. I certainly don't want to hog the connection and create problems for other users at this end...

Sotiris I had a pleasant chat with M. cade this afternoon
Sotiris we talked mainly about whois issues, particularly the problem of proxy registrations where the owner of the content ends up being SOL if the provider oes under
Sotiris I had a couple cases where clients who had their domains registered by a third party (and in that third party's name!) have subsequently been held hostage for the use of what they thought was their own domain
Sotiris this is a pretty commonplace problem methinks

Sotiris she recoginzes the issue as a problem and she was interested in hearing proposals as to how such situations can be dealt with
