You need to login after you registered then the lock dissapears.

As for the closed web team part, I oppose that though I do support no
posting rights it should be open for all to read.

There is 1 forummaster, if he needs help let it be so, if not, then he
is responsible, that is the choice of the webteam, of which you are a
member.
