Everybook Dedicated Reader To Use Linux Operating System

The brains of the Everybook Dedicated Reader, a double-screened reading
device predicted to hit the market this summer, won't consist of a
proprietary operating system such as those developed by NuvoMedia and
Softbook Press for their eBook devices. Instead the Reader will run Lineo
Embedix, a slimmed-down version of the free Linux operating system,
Everybook announced yesterday.
