Internet content rating and filtering - presentation of projects
funded under the Safer Internet Action Plan http://europa.eu.int/iap

A meeting to present the projects funded under action line 2
(filtering and rating) of the Safer Internet Action Plan will be held
on

                  29 January 9:30 till 16:30
              Room M4 Jean Monnet Building
                     Luxembourg

The purpose of the meeting is:
- to allow those involved in rating and filtering projects (whether or
not funded by the Action Plan) to be aware of what other projects are
doing, so as to avoid duplication and explore possible co-operation;
- to allow those interested in content rating and filtering from a
user perspective to obtain information on current and planned work in
rating and filtering projects funded by the Action Plan, possibly with
a view to contributing to such work;
- to give added visibility to Action Plan activities in the area of
content rating and filtering.

A total of 13 projects have been funded under action line 2. 5 are
projects which are under way or completed (ICRAsafe and 3W3S). 8 are
new projects, of which 2 are follow-on projects from those already
under way. Participants will therefore be able to see both results and
future plans of projects. see
http://europa.eu.int/information_society/programmes/iap/projects/
filtering/index_en.htm for further details.

The meeting will take place in English.

Participants must make their own arrangements for travel and
accommodation, and the Commission cannot provide any financial
support.

Because of strict security measures, those wishing to attend must
register as soon as possible and not later than 27 January by e-mail
to iap@cec.eu.int with "register for 29 Jan meeting" in the subject
