A Quiet Revolution (fwd)

---------- Forwarded message ----------
Do you really object to the government mining an all inclusive data base
composed of your credit card purchases, medical records, and any other bits and
pieces they can get their hands on? Well, the solution is simple!

Pay off your credit card balances as soon as possible.

Do not use your cards for ANY purchase until the balance is zero.

Cancel the card as soon as the balance is paid with a letter telling the credit card
company why you will no longer use their card.

Pay cash for every purchase. "Really Need" something you can't afford to buy with
cash? Unless it's food, shelter or life saving drugs, do without.

If this government wants to make business and profit the new Baal, destroy the
privacy and the personal protections developed over 50 years of enlightened
Constitutional interpretation, and answer only to the corporate doners, the only way
the average citizen can fight back is to hit 'em where it hurts. Bring them to their
knees. Destroy the system that keeps us in debt in pursuit of the next new thing.
Don't use credit!

Think of the results.

No data base to mine.

Credit card companies and the banks that manage them openly challenging the new
Facism as they gradually realize what is happening.

Businesses finding that they don't rule the world, the consumer does.

A realignment of priorities, yours and the monetary system.

More cash in your pocket when those interest rates and monthly payments no longer
drain your future to line the pockets of those who really don't care about your
freedoms or privacy.

A refocus on what you need, rather than what someone is trying to drive you into debt
to sell you.

I clearly remember the effect that the table grape boycott had on the power of migrant
labor to pressure agribusiness to pay a decent wage in 1970's California. Ceasar
Chavez understood the power of each individual exercizing choice one purchasing
decision at a time. Let's start a boycott of credit card use. Deny the DoD the power to
mine information about you and the intimate details of your life style. Just pay cash.

We don't need petitions. We don't need a "movement". We just need to circulate this
plea as widely as possible, as quickly as possible to everyone we know. Encourage
everyone in your circle of friends and collegues to use their credit card only in a
genuine emergency. Deny the government the right to your information and bring the
corporate cooperators to their knees.

Pass it on. Post it. Mail to everyone you know. Let's start a quiet revolution!
