With all due respect, analysing a candidate and her or his
positions (or the lack thereof) is within the scope of this list.

A public debate cannot do without that; that is the very essence
of democracy.

You have a point of course, that we should try to keep that away from
personal attacks - but even that is a sticky issue: one guy's personal
attack's may be the other one's political opinions.

As evidenced countless times, the trust of any number of voters
doesn't guarantee good decisions by the voted-for in any way.

Well, is that possible ? Can you acquire enough expertise on the
subjects at hand within the given short time frames and with an
overall small time budget to make good decisions ?

To really understand all the implications your decisions might
have ? To estimate the efforts, the work, the costs some
apparently minor point in one of your propoals might cause ?

Why do you think have most of us wasted years of their life
learning that stuff where one can now get an expert by a
net couple of days of reading ?

Questions, I think , worth asking, and none of these
intended to tear you or anybody else "personally to
shreds". As a candidate you bring in a very interesting set
of qualifications and a unique angle, but we - as voters -
will have to balance these againt the risks and drawbacks of
your candidacy. And we can only do that if we understand them
