I researched DEMAS online, the official German database
for registered and rejected trademarks.
I did not check current applications,
as Lutz referred to "holders" of trademarks.

DEMAS lists 390 registrations and rejections of trademarks
that include the word internet. Most of them are word-picture
combinations of companies like "benedo.com internet gmbh"
or "PORTAL internet" or "ILEVEN internet services".

(BTW, I am not yelling this, only trying to show that different
graphics were used in the word-picture combinations.)

DEMAS lists only 2 successful registrations of
the word internet alone. As word marks internet is registered:

- under No. DE02060814 the word internet is registered for
recorded audio- and video cassettes, printed products,
music and film production

under No. DT01019548 the word internet is registered for
travel services and travel brokerage.

Perhaps Lutz will share his resource,
and we can reduce confusion?

Best regards,

Andreas Fuegner
