Dear Constantine:
The only people you could ask to sponsor you
are the At-Large-Members, your voters.
Whether you are honest or not, is not the point.
It is cruel, but: "Whoever pays the music, calls the tune" is more real.
That is why most participants here don't want somebody from within internet
industry.
They all claim more or less to act and vote in "everybody's best interest".
And I do not want to se the advertising:
"Buy XY, we are sponsoring the ICANN elected board member Mr./Ms. ABC".
Just imagine what this will say about the election and ICANN.
There are enough members lobbying for this and that.
We need somebody representing users.
