I never thought this trick as a serious way to circumvent the ballott seat 
shortage and yes, I'm able to do sums :-) (142% to be precise :-)

I agree with your considerations and overall resulting figures will play a big 
role in the discussion. (especially role of Europe and North America respect 
to Asia/Pacific).
About giving media coverage I dislike, being a candidate, to personally push 
some to give more attention than media itslef likes to give because, although 
done with smooth and fair intentions, it will sound to me as a little biased 
action. Of course, I'm ready to change idea if the deadline is approaching 
and no-one of candidates is enough close to the estimated 2% final thresold.
