Internet? "Hacker" scene (whatever this is). He was (is?) spokesman
of "Chaos Computer Club", an organization which has gained quite a lot
of popularity by presenting a number of hacks, some of them indeed
quite interesting.

I've already heard of him, but I don't have any information whether he
is suitable for the job or not. And I've read more about his student
status than about his opinions regarding ICANN-related matters.
