Dear Jeanette,
I just read the article. I must read it again! Two comments. First: The
authors are
people commercially involved in a previous phase of the system. I cannot
escape
mentioning that there is some bitterness that might be connected to that.
Second:
they promote an "apolitical role" for ICANN. You know better than me that:
(a) this is not possible, (b) Claiming that that is possible is a political
thesis,
(c) Claiming that that is possible may hide influences ... .
Apart from these comments, I found that the article contained a lot of info.
