Re: [ICANN-EU] MEMO requesting discussion: Structuring a large ML

I agree in the general (english) ML, on the local MLs in local languages
(but time will show that we may need also separate MLs "by subject", not
necessarily "by Country"), and on the "announcement" list.
My personal experience with the DNSO GA is that some people do not want to
participate in a global (high-traffic) discussion, but keep in touch via the
"announcement" list.
The concern about the Director using this "announcement" list as his/her
personal political forum is real, but I consider this unlikely, because it
will backfire in terms of PR.

And there's nothing wrong in starting preparing the list right now - well,
as soon as we have the two names.
It is important to involve the 7 candidates in September in the discussions
on the future of the membership. I hope we will vote those who are sensible
to this issue, and that will take some engagement.
If we wait until after elections, we will have no way to "measure" the
candidates against this issue.

Regards
Roberto
