How strange, then, that so many people managed to get their
addresses entered in a proper way, and actually were able to vote...
Or do you want to imply that it takes a normal individual looks at a
couple of different web forms, and repeated submission of these
forms, to generate a correct address?

This will most likely be the best method to get the admin community
accept whatever root such an organization would propose. You are
joking, aren't you?

While the presidential elections are certainly excellent joke-fodder
(two distinct versions of the "revocation of independence" are
available upon request), they should not be taken as a reason for
any national or continental hybris and arrogance. This just won't
help in any manner.
Apart of that, I suppose there is some consensus forming by now that
the - ICANN, not presidential ;-) - elections had serious problems
which should be investigated during the study to come, and that all
parties involved should work to get these problems fixed the next
time ICANN calls for elections.
