This will, of course, depend on the kind of dissenting opinion
published. I don't see any problem with someone (in particular
someone of your reputation) saying "of course all nine should be
elected - but in fact, all nine should be elected _directly_".

We are in the lucky situation that most of the discussion on this
text has been archived, online. I may add an accompanying note
(clearly detached from the main document) which states this, and
points to the archive. That way, the context for not interpreting
this document in a certain way is present. Also, it should be
rather hard to read the demand for two directors "whose biases
cancel" (I didn't write that verbatim, but in essence, it's there)
as being fulfilled by two directors who have the same biases.

I think that, at least in the public perception, the elected
directors have a rather good standing. It would certainly create
more than one publicly risen eyebrow when the board overvotes the
elected directors on an issue like the study.
