U.S. to announce voluntary Internet safety plan

WASHINGTON, May 4 (Reuters) - Information to help parents protect their kids online will be just ``one click away'' under a new voluntary program to be unveiled by Vice President Al Gore on Wednesday, administration officials said.

The program, to be reached by clicking on a link from leading World Wide Web pages, will feature a Web site with online safety tips, a guide to protective software, and a listing of ``high quality'' educational materials on the Internet.
