General Information :

Participants can now register on-line for the information day concerning safer use of the Internet, which will be held in Luxembourg on 19 April 1999 in preparation for the first call for proposals for this topic.

The purpose of the Information Day is as follows:

- Commission experts will summarize the main points of the procedure for calls for proposals, and answer questions. All of the information given will of course also be available on-line; - Commission officials will also be able to give informal advice on whether a project idea falls within the scope of the calls for proposals. Any view expressed is without prejudice to the final decision, which will depend on the evaluation of the proposal, including a review by independent evaluators, and a Commission decision after completing internal procedures.
