SAN FRANCISCO -- The Internet scares many parents.

In response, several companies at Jupiter's Digital Kids conference here showed off services that limit children's online experience to carefully selected sites.

Kids On-Line America showed a beta version that they launched in March of a service that limits users to certain content based on six different age categories.
