The IST 99 conference, "Exploring the Information Society", will take place from 22 to 24 November 1999, in Helsinki, Finland.

The impact of the innovations brought about by information technologies that characterise society at the turn of the century will be addressed from a variety of perspectives through a series of sessions. An exhibition reflecting the theme of the conference will be presented to visitors alongside the INFO2000 Village, the European IST Prize and EuroPrix MultiMediaArt Prize finalists.

An investment forum (by invitation) will be held on the final day, providing a unique meeting place for future European IST ventures and leading investors, advisors and industrialists. IST companies seeking capital can apply to present their businesses and fund-raising plans at the forum.
