To return to a previous topic, MPAA has notified defendant counsel that it is asking for an amended PI to include sites that link to sites which offer DeCSS. A copy of that request should be online soon.

Thus, if granted, this amendment will go against the California decision to not include such secondary linkages in the CA PI.

And, darn it, I was wrong and Wired reporter Jeff Howe and Peter Katz (who is NY counsel for defendants and himself a CA defendant) were right in claiming that Judge Kaplan had denied including these secondary linkages in the current NY PI. ------- End of forwarded message -------
